Salam! I’m Naira Ahmed, a mom of two, professor at Sheridan College, brand consultant, graphic designer, and founder of Grow With Naira and Magnetic Muslimah.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for over 15 years, building four businesses along the way. With 18 years of experience in graphic design and seven years as a full-time professor, I’ve spent much of my career helping people communicate their ideas and discover what they’re capable of.

Grow With Naira brings those experiences together. Through brand consulting, one-on-one coaching, and business accelerators, I help Muslim women get clear on what they’re building, communicate their value, and develop the branding, marketing, and mindset to move forward.

I want Muslim women to become known, remembered, and recommended for the value they already carry. That means helping them share their work with confidence and connecting them with people who can support their growth.

It’s also why I created Magnetic Muslimah, a community where Muslim women come together to learn, build relationships, collaborate, and support one another. Through group conversations, masterclasses, check-ins, and shared experiences, we make room for both personal and business growth.

You don’t need an established business or a particular income to belong. Some women are exploring an idea; others have been building for years. Membership is now application-based or through an existing member’s referral, with an emphasis on shared values, generosity, and a willingness to contribute.

The right room can change how you see yourself, what you learn, and which opportunities become possible. I love creating spaces where a woman can share what she’s working on and hear, “I know someone you need to meet.”

My BARAKAH MINDSET™ framework reflects the thinking behind my work: bringing faith, intention, an abundance mindset, and practical action into how we build our businesses and live our lives. I believe there is enough for everyone, and I believe in collaboration over competition. I want women to succeed in ways that honour their values, their families, and their capacity.

Outside of my work, you’ll find me reading and collecting self-development and business books, making matcha, cooking for my family, or spending time with my children. I care deeply about social justice, breaking generational cycles, and seeking knowledge. I love my students, and teaching continues to be one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

My academic interests explore how Canadian Muslim entrepreneurs and organizations express a cohesive brand identity while navigating faith, culture, and life in Western society. My love for Surah Al-Baqarah also led me to create Baqarah to Barakah, a space for Muslim women to build consistency in reading and reflecting on this beautiful surah.
